Thimbles News – July 5th

July is a wonderful month to celebrate our independence….and Thimbles Anniversary!  A free gift to all who come and an introduction to the summer challenge!  “Make Mine Mini” – could this be a clue?  You’ll just have to come in and find out.  July 11th – Monday is the date and if you miss the party on Monday, you may still enter the challenge.  Don’t forget your Thimblebucks.

Starting in September Kim Diehl’s new Simple What Not Program begins. Each month we’ll be making a fun new mini project for a total of six projects.  First month project:IMG_0361 (2)

The cost of the kit each month is $38.95 for the entire project, including batting and backing.  Sign up in the shop.

It’s Rodeo time in Spooner and Walnut street will be closed at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 9th for the parade on Highway 63.  The shop will be open in the morning, but close at 1:00 pm.

I love board games and if you’re looking for game board prints…they’re here….Monopoly and Scrabble.  Great for the game table and a fun conversation piece.  What a fun way to pass time out on the porch on those summer evenings or rainy days at the lake.

We still have openings for the Mini Log cabin table topper class in August.  Call the shop to sign up.  We have kits or you may bring your own fabrics.  Two classes to choose from August 19th (Friday) or August 23rd (Tuesday).

We also have the salvage class coming up on August 4th.  Don’t worry if you don’t have enough…I have a tub full.  Sign up in the shop.  IMG_0301 (2)If you don’t want to do the applique, not a problem, you may select your own project.  I will warn you, it does become addicting.

Honey Bee Lane – we have kits and pattern sets if you’re interested.  A bit of; piecing, applique and embroidery makes this so sweet quilt.  IMG_0297 (2)

Enjoy Summer and when you’re in the area, swing in and see what’s happening.
