Life Is A Quilt

Making a quilt is living a life.  You first sit down and decide what you would like and/or need.  You then look for a pattern.  You select your colors of fabrics.  You sew together your blocks with care so they all match up to meet at all corners.  You add some borders to frame your blocks.  You select your thickness of batting and design how you want it quilted together and finish with some hand binding.

My life quilt is complete and I’m off to a new adventure – retirement.  It’s time.  I have loved every minute of having the quilt shop.  The total thrill of starting it up and meeting each and every one of you, sharing quilts, sharing stories with lots of fun and laughs along the way.  All of you helped build this shop from the ground up and I’ll truly miss it, but it’s time to retire.

If there is anyone out there that would love to open a shop…..stop!  Come see me.  Thimbles is a booming shop with the classroom hopping with quilters several days a week.  Classes are bountiful and the steady stream of customers stopping in to see what’s new is endless.  Now is the time.  The shop is hopping, all set up and ready to go….step right in and start creating and making it your own on day one.  No need to look for customers ….they’re here waiting for you!

Thank you for your support ….and stop in when you get a chance.
