I’ll take mine with “Sprinkles”  IMG_0405 (2)Keep Cool during these warm summer days with some ice cream.  Just made up this runner that will fit on any table and it truly comes with no calories.

This week is Kids Sewing Camp so we have cancelled open sewing for the week.  But do stop in as we have lots of new fabrics to keep you lakeside during the summer by Henry GlassIMG_0408 (2)Better at the Lake panels and accompanying fabrics along with Moose Lake Lodge prints.

Bonnie Sullivan from Maywood Studios has an adorable Pumpkin Party panel IMG_0406 (2)and new Wools to play with IMG_0403 (2)Snippets from Front Porch Quilts and new colors from Moda.

Just a reminder we’ll be playing with salvages on August 4th, call the shop if you’re interested and don’t worry if you don’t think you have enough…..I have a tub you can dig through.  They do become addicting, they’re quick and simple with straight line sewing.

We still have room on August 19th for the Blooming Cabin Mini quilt.  It’s 24″ square … 16 mini log blocks and applique (or not), your choice, but the applique is really fun.  Sign up at the shop.

Play along with me, Farmhouse Threads is hosting a Harvest Mystery Quilt Blog Hop!  Each week a designer will post a pattern to make a harvest themed quilt block using wool applique on cotton fabric.  You must download the weekly patterns and they are found on the http://farmhousethreads.blogspot.com that will take you to the designer’s blog.  Week 3 was just posted.   I’m also incorporating flannel into my blocks and got the first two completed in one afternoon.  I absolutely love them.  There’s embroidery I’m finishing and will post the blocks next week.  If you  want to join in let me know and we’ll sew together.  If you’re interested we’ll schedule classroom time for you to work on your blocks.  Once we’ve got them completed, we’ll have a show and tell and luncheon the end of October.

That’s it for this week and if you feel the need to get out of the heat, stop in and see what’s going on.
